Hello, and welcome! I started decorating cakes at 13 years old, fell in love immediately, and never really stopped... but I did take a long, strategic detour through tech.
I was hired in 2013 as Acquisitions Lead for the Cake category at Craftsy, where I built what has become one of the most influential online cake education catalogs in the world.
I partnered with legends of the cake world—Maggie Austin, Nicholas Lodge, Lori Hutchinson (aka The Caketress), Joshua John Russel, Faye Cahill, and many more—launching 100+ courses with 80+ cake artists and learning exactly what makes creative work translate online.
I even fulfilled a bucket-list item by eventually filming two classes for Craftsy myself!
Since then, I've spent over a decade in tech and digital education designing product launches, building digital communities, refining marketing systems, and obsessing over one question:
How can creative solopreneurs get seen without burning out in the process?
In 2018, I started Milkmoon Kitchen as a passionate side project, growing to 20k followers in under a year posting just once or twice a week and squeezing cake-making into a schedule packed with full-time work and one heck of a commute.
This experience helped me understand how to maximize visibility in just a handful of hours slotted in here and there. This perspective has created the baseline for the marketing philosophy I've continued to develop as a product specialist in the education technology space and a marketing and product launch consultant for makers and creators of all kinds.
It is these valuable strategies and mindset shifts that I am now teaching for the first time ever here in my Cake Circle, for cake artists exclusively. Milkmoon Kitchen has now evolved into Cake Circle—and I am so pleased to have finally come home to cake for good.
